Amalgamated Union of Motor Mechanics and Technicians of Nigeria Launches FCT Chapter
Abuja, Nigeria – October 6, 2024: The Amalgamated Union of Motor Mechanics and Technicians of Nigeria (AUOMMATON) celebrated a significant milestone with the formal launch of its FCT Chapter on October 5, 2024. The event, held at Plot 585, Apo Mechanic Village, Abuja, also featured the inauguration of a Model Training Centre aimed at enhancing the skills and competencies of motor mechanics and technicians in the region.
Comrade Engr. Dr. Oseni Suleiman, the National President of AUOMMATON, officiated the ceremony and presented an official certificate of recognition to the FCT Chapter Chairman, Comrade Michael Ndubuisi. The moment was a highlight of the event, symbolizing the union's commitment to supporting its members and fostering a sense of community among automotive professionals in the Federal Capital Territory.
The presentation was attended by key figures, including the Vice Chairman of the FCT Chapter, Comrade Abdulsalam Useni, and other executive members of the chapter. In his address, Dr. Suleiman emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration among union members, urging them to leverage the resources and training opportunities offered by the new Model Training Centre.
"The establishment of the FCT Chapter and this training centre is a testament to our dedication to improving the standards of automotive services in Nigeria," said Dr. Suleiman. "We are committed to equipping our members with the necessary skills to thrive in an ever-evolving industry."
Comrade Ndubuisi, in his acceptance speech, expressed gratitude for the support from the national body and emphasized the chapter's goal of fostering professional development and enhancing service delivery among its members. He called on all mechanics and technicians in the FCT to join the union and take advantage of the training programs.
